Bakugan Battle Brawlers are very popular card game toys among boys this season. Bakugan toys have been developed around an animated cartoon and have become a big hit that continues to grow in popularity. The real hot bakugan toy this season is the bakugan 7 in 1 Maxus Drago or Helios which is actually 7 brawlers that transform into one large battle monster.
Initially, the bakugan game appears to be a bit complex, but the game is actually easily understood after the first few plays. Players sit around an optional battle game board where gate cards are placed. Players then, in turn, roll out their bakugan onto the game board. When the bakugan lands on a battle card it will automatically open which means it is ready for battle.
Each bakugan has a point value and once it lands on a battle card more points are added or subtracted depending on the battle card. Each player begins with 3 bakugan brawlers, 3 gate cards and 3 ability cards. For more advanced players, a trap can be added to the excitement. The player with the most points keeps the gate card that was used for battle and the used brawlers are set aside. The first player to win 3 gate cards is the winner.
With over 100 different bakugan brawlers available, numerous gate and ability cards and now traps there is an endless variety to game play. Beyond actual game play, boys just love collecting and playing with these toys. My son has a case with a bunch of brawlers and cards. His friends love to get together and just look at them. I have to admit, they are sort of cool and I’m not usually very impressed with toys for boys. Either way, the boy in your life will surely love getting bakugan battle brawlers this holiday season.
